Is VisibleThread NIST 800 -171 certified?

Last updated: Jan 2018

VisibleThread Statement on NIST 800-171

NIST 800-171 applies in the context of Federal Contractors dealing with CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information).

Our VisibleThread Docs cloud environment is not NIST 800-171 certified.

For VisibleThread customers requiring NIST 800-171, they should deploy VT Docs either on-premise (i.e. behind their firewall) or in a NIST certified cloud hosting facility (e.g. AWS). We recommend using AWS (Amazon Web Services), the backend of which is fully NIST and Fedramp certified.

See here https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/security/need-nist-compliance-in-the-aws-cloud-aws-compliance-has-you-covered-nist-800-171/
