Summary

This maintenance release improves the stability and reliability of VT Writer, particularly when working with SharePoint content and using Gen AI with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). We’ve also upgraded the underlying application server to Tomcat 11.0.18 to keep the platform secure and up to date.

• We have upgraded the VT Writer application server to Apache Tomcat 11.0.18.

Bug fixes

1. Improved stability when browsing SharePoint content

• Issue: VT Writer could close unexpectedly when users navigated certain SharePoint folders.

• Fix: We’ve resolved the underlying issue so VT Writer now handles these folders safely, improving reliability when working with SharePoint-based content.

2. Gen AI + RAG reliability after configuration changes

• Issue: Disabling and then re-enabling Gen AI could cause RAG functionality to stop working as expected.

• Fix: The interaction between Gen AI settings and RAG has been corrected. RAG now continues to function normally after Gen AI is turned off and back on again.
