VT Writer 5.1.3 is a major VT Writer release available for Cloud and Customer Hosted customers.

Release Highlights:

The theme of this release is leveraging your proprietary data when using Generative AI to draft content.

With this new release, you can now use source data contained in SharePoint sites or on your file system to ground the response. This means that the result of prompting is based on your proprietary data, rather than the LLM itself.

When might you use this?
Here are some cases where this capability shines:

• Create a 1st draft exec summary or section intro (referring to previous exec summaries),
• Create a 1st draft management plan or other proposal section (based on good prior management
  plans),
•  Answer specific technical questions (referring to your technical library of assets),
• Answer security questionnaires (based on prior questionnaires),

How it works?
This new capability works using “Collections”. Collections are a set of SharePoint files, local files or a mix of both.

Users choose the files they want in the collection. You can create as many collections as you need. You can name, rename or delete collections to suit.
